Drop Em wear?®  originated in Elmira Heights, NY in 1994. It was started by John Beebe.  John with his creative mind decided to make three T-shirts for the members of Verticaly Challenged minis. The club members thought it was a great idea so john printed 36 shirts and headed off to Carlisle, PA for a weekend of fun at the Carlisle All Truck Nationals. This was just the beginning.

During the All Truck Nationals, John  some club members began selling the shirts out of john’s newly painted 1987 Mazda B2000. The critics were out. Who were these people selling shirts person to person? Would this amount to anything successful? It took all weekend , but they finally sold out. With the three designs John printed, he who dies with the lowest truck wins, Drive slow scrape hard or take your truck and go home and the infamous logo shirt, Drop Em wear?® clothing was born.

Drop Em wear?® was totally underground and the name was only recognized on the east coast until 1997. That was the year Drop Em wear  decided to leave the snow infested state on NY and travel south, where minitruckin was a year round thing. Now Drop Em wear?® could be more than just seasonal.

Drop Em wear  relocated to Winston Salem, NC and set up headquarters in the kitchen of their house. The Drop Em wear? funds were depleting, and it  was on the verge of extinction. Long hours and working two jobs made it difficult to survive. The two of them were ready to throw in the towel.  There was no money, no catalog, no advertising, they thought it was over.  John even sold his 1987 Mazda B2000 to dump all the money into the business. Later that year Drop Em wear?® picked up dealers such as Alter Images, Master Image Customs, and Show and Shine Promotions. These fine businesses helped Drop Em wear?® flourish into a household name. The Drop Em wear?® logo also went under the knife for its first major reconstruction since 1994.

In 1998 John felt it was time for a catalog. He went to work on one of the funniest catalogs minitruckers had ever seen. It wasn’t much of a catalog but it worked. There were still no funds for advertising and the catalog was made cheap so they could keep the price of shirts down. The 80-90 hour work weeks were taking a toll on the both of them. Later that year the Drop Em wear?® logo was once again reconstructed.

In 1999 Drop Em wear?® became global with dealers all over the world. Minitruckin magazine started to take notice of their clothing. The Drop Em wear?® logo was spotted in many pages on minitruckin mag. For the third year in a row the Drop Em wear?® logo took on another change. John and Tracy were still surviving but felt in order for the business to stay alive they needed to do more. The long hours during the week and traveling to shows on weekends were still taking a toll on both of them.

In 2000, the need for employees and a warehouse was crucial. The business was getting too big for just the two of them and was taking over the house as well as the basement.  John needed help and decided to take on a partner but decided to keep it in the family and asked his father in law John (POPS).  Pops had no idea what a minitruck was but decided to sell everything a move to Winston Salem to join in the growing business. The two of them worked from morning till night developing the business.

During the next year, Drop Em wear?® created over 80 shirts and a wide variety of other products. With everyone putting in tons of hours the staff was beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Drop Em wear?® was getting stronger and stronger each day.

Drop Em wear? became as big as they are today by traveling around the country vending at car an truck shows, phone orders, mail orders, and wholesale accounts. They have never mass produced their products for sale in department stores. Their success came from hard work and determination. Drop Em wear?® was created for minitruckers by minitruckers. Thanks to word of mouth and absolute customer commitment, Drop Em wear?® has come a long way.

June of 2004 Drop Em wear?® will have reached the 10 year milestone. To celebrate this event Drop Em wear?® created a 10th Anniversary shirt and went full color on the catalog!

Since the beginning, Drop Em wear has steamrolled the competition and there is no end in sight with over 150+ designs. Drop Em wear adds new merchandise to their line up each year.

In 2007 Drop Em wear has gone global by putting a few dealers in business in Australia. The Australia truck scene has been getting bigger and bigger and Drop Em wear hopes to make it to a show down under very soon.

Drop Em wear?® would like to thank everyone who had ever purchased a Drop Em wear?® product. A special thanks goes out to all the minitruckers who purchased an original shirt back in 1994. Without the support and dedication from their customers Drop Em wear?® would not exist. The staff at Drop Em wear?® hopes to see you on the show scene.
